Hello, wanted to publish the final pics of my Valk. Glad you all seem to like it so please enjoy!

Just a fast update. Have done the first coat of the metalics tonight. Have kept the base coats really patchy as they will then go off, get sealed and oil washes to make them look a little more worn. Continue reading

Just thought I would post some progress so far. Have gloss varnished and added the oil washes. Then I glued most of the major items together:

 Hope you like! I have the metallics done, so will wait on the oils to dry and then varnish again. After that, have the pilots to paint and the cockpit to complete.

Just thought I would post some images of my work tonight. Just got the chipping done and am now ready for the purity seal to go on. Have made it intentionally lighter chipping on most areas of this as I figure it’s airborne rather than ground based, so less to bump into! Continue reading

Now, I know that may look a little weird, but have seen blutac used as a mask/guide for painting cammo patterns. I am not as good as the people that have used this technique however and ended up with a fair amount of overspray:
