Grey Venger pt.3

All painted up and weathered. Not many PIP shots sorry. I know, it really should have had a little more by way of decals and markings. I have had this model for a long time now as a standard russ and have long since lost the decals.

I took the ones on it from a transfer sheet I had in a heavy weapons team box.

Also, I didn’t really know what the ’standard’ marking set up is really for armour in 40k, so I was a little reluctant to get it wrong! Went with the safe option.

I am tempted to build up an armoured fist army now, so this may have a plcae in that at some point but I doubt that. I think I may just make a nice display base for it and put it on the shelf.

I have learned a huge amount about weathering armour and using mig pigments and even using the GW air brush.

The cammo netting was made from some non eleastic medical bandage/gauze from boots. Simply soak a section in some acrylic paint or inks. Let it dry out and then totally soak in a mix of water and PVA when you want to apply to the model. Take it out of the PVA mix and give a squeeze to get rid of the excess glue, then place on the model and allow to dry out.

I have used some thin wire to simulate the strapping/rope holding it to the turret here, but was just a cosmetic thing as the netting was sticking on anyway.
